Mercury's Orbit Date: 2003 Role: Sole Developer, Publisher An Excel spreadsheet I developed for a college-level astronomy course which allowed students to enter an observation date and the angle of Mercury from the Sun, and a formula would convert it to polar coordinates and map Mercury's position relative to the Sun, thus allowing the student to see whether the orbit best matched a circle or an ellipse. |
